BIN 555 Restaurant and Wine Bar
The "Societe Mondiale du Vin" (which is the "fine wine" part of the "fine food and fine wine" Chaine organization) is having its first Dine-around of 2007.
The date is March 22, on a Thursday -- mark your calendar!! The time is 7 p.m. The location is the BIN-555 Restaurant and Wine Bar located at 555 West Bitters Road. West Bitters Road is that short stretch of road between Highway 281 and North Loop 1604 in the Artisans Alley Shopping area.
A Mondiale dine-around is an "official Chaine/Mondiale event where members get together, reserve an area within the restaurant, take their own wine (or buy wine directly from the menu), order what they want to eat off the menu, and pay for it with individual checks. The dress code is bistro casual dining with ribbons. Individuals need to make their own reservations and be sure to tell the restaurant that you are with the "Chaine." The number to call is 210-496-0555. In this restaurant there may be a corkage fee of $8, but we are not sure at this time.
Bin 555 is an upscale casual bistro and wine bar owned and operated by Jason Dady. Jason Dady, the executive chef/owner, along with his brother Jake, general manager/owner, opened The Lodge Restaurant of Castle Hills in 2001. The Lodge has received national acclaim and is named San Antonio’s Most Romantic Restaurant. In January 2006, Jason and Jake opened BIN 555 and the restaurant has been receiving excellent reviews from those who have dined there.
