Valentine's Day Dine Around

LUCE Ristorante E Enoteca

On Friday evening, February 12, 2010, members of the San Antonio Bailliage gathered at LUCE Ristorante E Enoteca located on the Strand to celebrate Valentine's Day. This website has covered the last three Chaine Valentine get-togethers, 2007, 2008, and 2009. Let's take a quick tour down memory lane to see what happened on these dates. We were all sitting in Luce's wine room for this event - not the main dinning area as in 2010. There is no dance floor in the wine room. The only place to dance is in that big center part of the table. After the wine, the appetizers, the wine, the dinner, the wine, the dessert, and the wine, we all got up on the table and did a little rumba. (No cameras were allowed for that part of the dinner, so we don't have any incriminating evidence to show you.)

Our dance band for the evening - The same "Sheila and Company" we had in 2010 Found these two Bull Riders running around in the hallway. Thought I would get a shot of them. Out Bailli Provincial Joel Klein and Vice Chargeé de Missions Honoraire Carol Klein. Here is a couple of good looking women who shop at the same clothing store.

 

We had a great band, did a lot of dancing, but have no photos of that activity. Here is an excerpt from the original story written in 2007:

Sheila and Company was brought in to perform for our enjoyment and entertainment. We had the singer, the horn, the piano, the bass, and the drums. This group performed from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and only stopped eight or nine times in order for our Bailli to get up to provide us with wonderful tidbits of information. At one time the dance floor was so crowded that dancers overflowed into two adjacent lobbies.

 

Ok, we are through with memory Lane. We will now return to the present and see what happened with our most recent Valentine function:

My apologies go to Barry and Linda Edelman. I took two shots of their table. First shot - they were hid behind Dennis and Ed.

Second shot - Both crawled under the table.  I hope to do better next time!

This is the end of the evening. Everybody is departing.

There was one shot that I did not get but had intended to all evening. It was the shot of our entertainment.

We had one female vocalist. Her husband set up the equipment and sound system.

Even though the noise drowned her out from time to time, she never waivered from her mission.

She was a beautiful singer. I got her business card and who knows, maybe we'll see her again sometime in the future at another event.
