The last time that the Chaine, as a group, saw this fellow (I think) was in the La Mansion Hotel at the Las Canaries Restaurant. The date was December 9, 2007, and we all had a great time that evening.

Las Canarias Terrace

Here a little something to jog your memory . . .

Here, we got a chance to see Wilmer's handsome leg's for the first time!

We had a "big" silent auction and a "big" not-so-silent Auction.

and all the ladies received a copy of Scott's very popular cook book "The Texas Hill Country Cook Book"

So what has Mr. Scott Cohen been up to lately? It's been a while since we have heard from him!

Well, for one thing, in late February he responded to a call from our Bailli to help in judging our young chef's talents in our local Jeune Commis competition, and for two, he opened his restaurant for our Bailliage to have a dine-around there on 11 March.

Humm, that event sounds very interesting -- Let's check out the restaurant's web site and see what he has to say.

etc...

Ok, sounds interesting! Let's take a look at who all attended this evening of fine dining and Chaine camaraderie:

(no Chaine ribbons, no Chaine titles)

The Kleins, Beyers, Alger, & Mahaffey

The Wades, Salomons, & Littles

The Cohens, and Bundricks

Ex Chaine member Frank Bachman, Cindy Bachman, the Rays (1/2), the Carrols (1/2), & the Milbourns

The Hoelschers, and the Rosens

oh, oh, Walter Tramontin, Mari Vickery, Antony Cherone & his lovely partner Lisa Elliott

We all had a very lovely time until it was time to pay the check. Only then did we have a small misunderstanding...

Guests of the Salomons

The professional's table: The Mozerskys, & the Marottas

Frank wants you all to know that it was very nice in seeing all his old friends from by-gone days and hopes to see all of you again soon.

What?? Didn't you guys say you were picking up the Check??

Well, that's it for another very nice dine around. Even though it was cold, windy, and wet outside, we had a very lovely time inside. My Salmon was prepared just perfect.  See all of you at the next one.
