Mondiale Wine-a-Around with BYOB at Little Italy

October 12, 2008

By Jim Ray, Vice Chargé de Presse

On this day, Mondiale members of the San Antonio Bailliage and their guests gathered at Little Italy to celebrate Columbus Day.  Let's take a look and see all who were there:

Aha, we have arrivals

Aha, we have one Ray, one Jacob, one Carroll, and two Wades

Aha, we have another arrival

Aw, it's just Barbara

Let's go inside and see who is mingling around. By the way, those two big guys in the upper right corner will be doing an arm wrestling contest right after dinner.

I don't know how Diane got in both of these photos at the same time??

Look, there's GG in the middle. She's been missing in action for awhile

Mister Wayne Bundrick, you may not think we see you peeking around the corner, but we do !!! By the way, these tables were pretty close together. As a result, I was unable to back off far enough to get everyone in some of the photos.

Somebody take that knife away from Michael before he thinks he's back in the surgery room !

Ah, here we have Vince surrounded by his favorite people, Mr. & Mrs. Nelson (neighbors) and his favorite sweetie Kuan-Mei

Here we have Carmen, who we don't get to see too often and a very pretty lady whose name I have misplaced in my brain.

Let's see, six individuals, eight regular bottles of wine and one magnum bottle out of sight. This must be where the serious wine drinker's sit. The leader must be Soonalyn, she has the largest container in front of her.

I really messed up this shot, so the only thing I can say is - here sits the fellow that came up the theory of relativity, specifically mass–energy equivalence, you know that E = mc² stuff. Nice seeing you Al, or is it Ed?

I caught Barbara trying to cover up part of "David", one of Michael Angelo's most renowned works of the renaissance. Someone said she was terribly upset once she found out he was standing right behind her while she was eating. Barbara, you should loosen up a little. Come on, have a little fun. You are among open-minded friends.

You know, every time I looked down at my glass, it was empty or almost empty and Vivian's glass was full or almost full. I really think she was stealing wine from my glass all night long. It's funny, because she drove home just perfectly once we left the restaurant.

And you know what? Wilmer said the same thing.  Elaine had put him in the trunk with me, but he also said Vivian was driving just fine. Yep, I'm going to have to install an inside trunk light that works when the trunk lid is closed.

Here we have Mr. Bill giving Mr. Dominick his Chaine Plate for providing his restaurant and services to the Chaine on this Sunday Evening.

Diane is telling everybody to be sure and come to the "Black Tie Event".

I'm not sure whether Jerry is looking at her or me.

GG is also telling everyone to be sure and come to the "Black Tie Event". No, No, it was a fish story. I think.

Cathy is telling everyone a fish story also. No, oh yea, it was a joke about a fish story.

 Barbara was not impressed.

Here is a teaser shot of some of the ladies who went to New Orleans. That story is coming up next. That lady sitting in the middle is the wife of our newest member (a professional member). You will meet him in the next story also

These are some really good masks. I have not been able to figure out who that person is seated with the Phantom of the Opera mask .

So stay tuned . . . next story . . .
